Our membership base mainly consists of students and younger professionals in their 20’s and 30’s. Commonly, our members would have strong desire to excel in all aspects of their life (including sport). Success is a state of mind of our students and is the safest way of participating in combat sports. We also put special attention in training juniors willing to learn and compete, as well as just train to learn the skill inspired by their love for the sport. We welcome seniors who either have a passion for the sport and want to stay sharp or test themselves competing in masters divisions. We have a dedicated group of young people (of all skill levels) following our tutorage, majority of whom are training to compete. Our training sessions are physically and mentally demanding. This is necessary to meet requirements of competitive ring sport preparations!
As a member of our club and while attending a training, it is expected that our students present themselves focused; have sufficient energy required for their skill level (starting with basics which is suitable for everyone without restricting medical condition); have basic coordination and control over their movement and listen to the trainers instructions. When suitable, ask questions if anything is unclear. This way everyone contributes to the great training atmosphere at Prestige Gym Melbourne.
